The North Florida Adoption Community, I would like to thank everyone for your support over the past eight years, personally and on behalf of A Bond of Love. Our email addresses and our web site will continue to be available. I will also continue my involvement in the Florida's Adoption Information Center as an advisory board member. At this time, A Bond of Love is making the following changes: 1. Monthly meetings will be canceled 2. Quarterly newsletters will be discontinued 3. An annual workshop will not be offered this year 4. The warm line will be disconnected The primary reasons for these changes is the lack of funding. In the past, we have been funded by Devereux, Children's Home Society, and Big Bend Community Based Care. Additionally, my husband and I personally funded the group for several years. We are no longer in the position to provide funding for the aforementioned activities due to the growth of A Bond of Love over the past 8 years. From A Bond of Love's inception in February 1999 to date, the number of people touched has grown from 5 to over 500.
